Bill Martin, Jr. – 72 of Mayday, GA passed away on Monday July 6, 2020 in the South Georgia Medical Center of Valdosta, GA. He was born on February 2, 1948 to the late Annie Elizabeth Grantham and Bill Martin, Sr. For most of his life, Bill worked for Bosch Olds and Garvin & Weatherington Tire Co. as a mechanic. Bill was a dedicated family man. He enjoyed dancing and tinkering with washing machines and dryers. Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Aurelia Webb Martin; brother, Shannon Martin grandson, Brandon Weaver; sisters, Joyce M. Hillhouse and Rudine M. Finch;
He is survived by his children: Tony Martin and wife Lynnette of Mayday, GA, B.J. Webb and wife Angel of Sylvester, GA, Anna Powell of Daytona Beach, FL, Anthony Powell of Leesburg, GA; Grandchildren: Jeannie Nation and husband Josh, Danielle, Justin, Logan, Carmen, Kurstin, Austin, A.J.; 5 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Floyd Martin of Homerville, GA; Sisters: Linda M. Hall and husband Phil of Valdosta, GA, Luewoner M. Wilson husband George of Americus, GA; Several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery. Music Funeral Services, Valdosta is in charge of arrangements.
