Billy Anderson

Billy Anderson, Sr. – 91 of Lakeland, GA passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Valdosta, GA. He was born on April 5, 1926 in Stockton, GA to the late Sylvester & Lottie (Beckum) Anderson. He served his country for over 33 years in the United States Army. While in the service, he served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart two times and was a Silver and Bronze Star Recipient. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Nitschke, sister, Myrtice Lott, and brothers, Emory Anderson and S. L. Anderson.
Survivors include his Wife of 61 years, Ella Louise Anderson of Lakeland, GA; 3 Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Linda & David Powell of Macon, GA, Carol & Joey Tomlinson of Lakeland, GA April & Aaron Chadwick of Nashville, GA; 3 Sons & Daughter-in-law: Billy Anderson, Jr of Lakeland, GA, S. L. Anderson of Sparks, GA & Bobby & Mary Fender of Chicago, IL; Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and Brother, Jerry Anderson of Hastings, FL.
