Billy W. Boles 83-
Died peacefully at home under Pruitt Health Hospice care on February 13, 2019. Billy was born in Van Buren, Arkansas on October 21, 1935. He entered the United States Air Force in 1954. He served two tours in Vietnam and was stationed for two years in Germany, where he met his wife Karin. They celebrated 48 years together. After 22 years in the Air Force, Billy retired from The Red Horse Squadron at Hurlbert Field, Florida. In 1978, Billy and Karin moved to Hahira, Georgia and he started Civil Service at Moody AFB; he worked there for 26 years. Besides his job, Billy enjoyed working outside, building, and working together with his friends, the “Wrecking Crew”, at Messiah Lutheran Church. He loved his family and took joy in watching his children’s athletic events. In his later years, he enjoyed being close to his grandchildren and watching them grow up. Above all, Billy loved the Lord and was thankful for his blessed life.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 16, 2019 at 2:30 P.M. at the Messiah Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
