Of Lakeland, GA took Jesus' hand and went to his eternal home Monday, January 06, 2014 at his residence after a lengthy illness with a brain tumor. He was born July 25, 1945 to the late Leon & Louella Giddens Bowen in Atkinson County, GA. He was employed at McCranie- Griner Chevrolet in Nashville as a paint & body specialist for over 45 years. He was a founding member and helped build the Mud Creek Christian Fellowship Church in Lanier County, GA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Bobby Gene Bowen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in the Mud Creek Christian Fellowship Church in Lanier County, GA with burial to follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Atkinson Co. GA. He will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5-8PM.
