Of Lakeland, GA passed away Friday morning, March 14, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center after a battle with heart conditions. He was born November 17, 1935 to the late J.L., Sr. and Eva Harnage Gaskins in Hahira, GA. He retired from Suburban Propane after 35 years. He was a faithful member of Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church serving as the church clerk for 42 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Helen Royal, Hazel Burch, Betty Johnson, Sara Phillips and a brother, J.L. Gaskins, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. He will lie in state one hour prior to services in the church. The family will receive family and friends Saturday, March 15, 2014 between 6:00PM-8:00PM at the funeral home.
