He was born in Worth County, GA on May 6, 1946 to the late Harry Willie & Dorothy Lee Johnson Hufstetler. He was the Superintendent for the City Of Lakeland for 38 years. Billy loved to fish, farm, and cook. He was one of the first members of New Life Ministries Church in Lakeland, GA. He is preceded in life by his parents, daughter, Amanda Lee Hufstetler, 4 Brothers, Curtis Hufstetler, Glen Hufstetler, Harry Lee Hufstetler, and, Bobby Lee Hufstetler.
Survivors Include his Wife of 45 years, Mable Hufstetler of Lakeland, GA; Son, Gene Hufstetler of Lakeland, GA; Daughter, Angela Hufstetler Joseph Egnatowicz of Lakeland, GA; Special Son-in-law, Richie Wyers of Valdosta, GA; 3 Sisters, Juanita Griffin of Lakeland, GA, Kathy Eaton of Lakeland, GA, Juanice Whitley of California; 3 Grandchildren, Nicklas Wyers of Lakeland, GA, Santana Wyers of Lakeland, GA, Savannah Stallings of Arnold, MO, Great Grandchild, Ava Rebecca of Arnold, MO; Special Friends: Mayo & Geraldine Ponder, Rodney Watson, Robert Price; and a number of Nieces & Nephews that knew him as "Papa".
Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, June 7, 2014 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to the held in Greenlawn Cemetery.
