Of Lake Park passed away Thursday, May 05, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Lowndes County on July 6, 1938 to the late William Presley & Winnie Lee Burns Zipperer. He was the owner of Zip's Wrecker Service. Mr. Zipperer was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church and the Civitan Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sons, Freddy Zipperer and Randall Zipperer, brother, Edgar Lee Zipperer and Wendell Zipperer.
He is survived by his, Wife of 35 years, Martha Tomlinson Zipperer, Lake Park, GA; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Jeff Zipperer Sherry, Lake Park, GA, Tony & Tammy Zipperer, Lake Park, GA; Daughter, Teresa M Carwein, Lake Park, GA; Step Sons & Daughters-in-law, Wesley & Joanne McCallum, Lake Park, GA, Russell & Jennifer McCallum, Lake Park, GA; Grandchildren Randy Zipperer Sindi, Krista Johnson Jason, Luke Zipperer, Will Zipperer, Zack Zipperer, Cory Zipperer, Eric McCallum Marie, Ron Carwein Sarah, Crystal Flowers Josh, Shannon McCallum, Danny McCallum, Ricky & Renee, Lorrie Dickerson Tommy; 11 Great Grandchildren; Sisters & Brothes-in-law, Pauline Z. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 9, 2011 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the funeral home.
