Blanche Cornelia Bush – 100

Of Lake Park passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Crestwood Nursing Home. She was born on January 11, 1914, in Bellville, FL, to the late Blanchard Best Brabham and Abilene Stephens Brabham. Mrs. Bush was a 1932 graduate of Jasper High School in Jasper, FL and worked as a Head Cashier for many years at Food Fair and Pantry Pride in Jacksonville, FL. She was a beloved member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Park, GA, the Women's Missionary Union, the Eastern Star and the Lake Park Historical Society. She served on the City of Lake Park Zoning Board of Appeals and volunteered at Lake Park Elementary School. "Grandma," as she was affectionately known, was a talented southern cook whose specialty was flat skillet cornbread. She loved the outdoors and could be found pampering the flowers in her yard or riding around town enjoying the homes and landscapes of South Georgia.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Matthew Bush, Jr., daughter, Blanche Elaine Bush Kelley, son, Robert Matthew Bush, III, granddaughters, Linda Jo Kelley and Baby Kelley, sister, Wynell Brabham, brother, William Brabham, and Nephew, Edward Lawrence "Larry" Brabham.

Survivors include her daughter, Constance Willard Morris, of Homerville, GA; granddaughters Karen Greg Nolan of Valdosta, GA, Sandra Pat Peters of Jacksonville, FL, Kimberly James Fitzgerald of Homerville, GA; grandson, Keith Morris of Homerville, GA; great grandchildren, Grant Garretson, Kellie Garretson, Sophia Walter, Michael Costlow, Timothy Williamson, Jacob Costlow, Katie Fitzgerald, Julie Fitzgerald and George Fitzgerald; five great great grandchildren, Triston, Tobias, Lilly, Emma and Theron; Nieces, Margaret Frank Little of Leeds, AL, Melissa "Lissa" Steve Maki of Laramie, WY, Nephew, Terrence William "Terry" Lynn Brabham; four great nieces, two great great nieces, and three great great great nieces.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Lake Park, GA. Following will be a gathering of family and friends in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall to reflect and celebrate her life. Her final resting place will be in the Lake Park Memorial Cemetery.
