Bobbie Jean Glover

November 16, 1941 — July 1, 2023

Bobbie Jean Glover, a cherished mother, granny, and Big G, gracefully passed away on Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at the age of 81 in Valdosta, GA. She was born on November 16, 1941, in Panama City, FL, to her loving parents, Leroy and Lonnie White Johnson. Bobbie's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family, good sense of humor, and the joy she found in their presence.
Bobbie had an unwavering faith in God and adored her family above all else, finding immense happiness in their company. A warm cup of instant Folgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato gravy, hoe cakes, and dining out were simple pleasures that brought her great joy. As she savored these moments, her heart overflowed with love and gratitude for the blessings surrounding her.
Throughout her life, Bobbie found solace and entertainment in watching TV soap operas, camping amidst the wonders of nature, and casting her line while fishing. Her fascination with dolls and butterflies revealed her appreciation for the delicate beauty found in the world. Yet, it was the priceless hours spent with her family that truly made her spirit shine. Every evening, she embraced the tradition of Rummy night with her daughters, where her vibrant humor and lively stories brought joy and laughter to all.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leroy and Lonnie White Johnson, her loving husband, Jerry Raymond Glover, her son Ronald Wilson Davis, her daughter Lisa Sue Davis, brother, Harlin Johnson and sister, Betty Tucker. Their memories will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who loved them.
Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by her two devoted sisters, Peggy Scott and Ruth Greene of Phenix City, AL, her three loving daughters: Jeanni Cummings and husband Frank of Adrian, GA; Deborah Joan Glover of Albany, GA; Teresa A Carranza and husband Rigo of Valdosta, GA. Also left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Jerry Raymond Glover, Sr., of Albany, GA, and Jarrett Leigh Glover of Haneyville, GA. Bobbie's spirit lives on through her 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
