Bobby P. Boone – 69
Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on November 12, 1939 in Lowndes County to the late Jay B. & Louise Dole Dorminey Boone. He enjoyed working with his hands, he could build anything and he enjoyed building race karts for his son to drive and watching Nascar Racing. Mr. Boone served in the United States Army and was a member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Boone.
Survivors include:Wife of 48 years, Frances Boone, Valdosta, GA, Son & Daughter-in-law, Pastor Tim & Wendy Boone, Benson, NC, Granddaughter, Mylanie Boone, Benson, NC, Special Cousins, Vernon Dorminey, Valdosta, GA, Calvin Dorminey, Valdosta, GA, a number of other family members, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 22, 2009 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Bobby's son, Pastor Tim Boone and Dr. Danny Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday, June 22, 2009. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Stillwater Ministry, P.O. Box 924, Benson, NC 27504.
