Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Lanier County on February 2, 1939 to the late Henry & Rosa Lee Browning Trowell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo Trowell and Verlyn Trowell.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2009 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the funeral home. His love for the outdoors was fishing and spending time with nature, instead of flowers, please make contributions to the Trowell family.
