Bobby Roberson

Bobby Roberson, age 80, of Quitman, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on July 17, 1946, to the late Mary Magdaline Roberson McKenzie in Blackshear, GA. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing. He will be dearly missed, especially as he slowly made his way down the road, a familiar sight that will always bring back fond memories. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Rodney Roberson; and stepson, Wayne York.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jeanette Roberson of Quitman, GA; son, Ernie Owens (Cheryl) of Quitman, GA; three daughters, Elaine Midgett, Janet Coker, and Laura Ann Arnold, all of Quitman, GA; seven grandchildren, Ryan Cashwell, Courtney Ellis (Chad), Katelyn Cashwell, Ashten Denny (Joey), April Marshall, Dusty Marshall (Katelyn), Jimmie Arnold; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, October 22, 2026, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Fifth Day Farms.
