Bobby Neil Stracener, age 78 of Valdosta, Georgia, died June 12, 2021 at The Fellowship Home at Brookside after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 8, 1943 in Double Springs, Alabama to the late Dorothy Virginia Morrison and Fred Stracener. Bobby was the owner of Stracener and Sons Construction; he enjoyed fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and farming. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was deeply loved and admired by his family. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kenith Stracener, sister, Emma Jean Stracener Cannady, and grandson, Kevin Joseph Stracener of Louisville, Kentucky.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years Barbara Ann Moore Stracener of Valdosta, Georgia; two sons, Jimmy Stracener and wife Jennifer of Valdosta, Georgia, Gerry Stracener and wife Virginia of Valdosta, Georgia; former daughter-in-law, Kimberly Stracener of Valdosta, Georgia; four Grandchildren: Justin Stracener and wife Wendy, Jessica Meeks and husband Kenny, Austin Wood and wife Leela, Jordan Stracener and Lauren Lewis; nine great-grandchildren: Gage and Jaxon Stracener, Kamdin Stracener, Colton Williamson, Kason, Kale, Kallan, Addilyn Meeks, and Gwyneth Wood; brothers, Tommy Stracener and wife Ruby Nell of Douglas, Georgia, Arvil Stracener and wife Wanda of Hahira, Georgia; sister, Janice Davis and husband Wayne of Douglas, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Graveside rites will be held at 11:00 O’clock AM on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Naylor, Georgia. Family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at
