Bobby Dan Tomlinson, Sr

Bobby Dan Tomlinson, Sr., age 82, of Valdosta, Georgia, died, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Langdale Hospice House surrounded by his family. Bobby was born December 22, 1938 to the late Daniel Enoch “D.E.” and Lucille (Kirkland) Tomlinson in Lakeland, Georgia. Bobby was the owner operator of South Georgia Vault Company which has been in operation since 1977. He enjoyed running deer with dogs, fishing, and a good fox race. He served his county honorably for nine years in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his son, Caleb Tomlinson, brother, Billy Tomlinson and sister, Betty Peters.
Survivors includes his loving wife of sixty-two years, Margaret Butler Tomlinson of Valdosta; daughters, Beth T. Elrod and husband David of Orange Park, Florida, Robin Hurst of Valdosta, Georgia; sons, Bobby Dan Tomlinson, Jr. and wife Wanda of Valdosta, Jeff Tomlinson and wife SheRee of Valdosta, Georgia; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Joann Zipperer of Valdosta and a number of nieces and nephews also survives.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 6, 2021 at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
