Brandon Cade Butler, 21 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 19, 2002 in Valdosta, Georgia to Derrik and Ashli (Shiver) Butler. Brandon enjoyed playing music, sports, and outdoor activities. He had a strong love for his family, friends and animals. Brandon was a member of Redland Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia. He was employed as a Certified Technician with Atlanta Gas Light for 3 years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Tonya Nelson Huffmaster; great grandmother, Peggy Eugene Butler; grandmother, Elizabeth Joanna Fiveash.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Derrik and Ashli Butler; siblings: Ethan Bennett, Lane Butler, Bralin Dykes, Harli Butler all of Valdosta, Georgia, Cole Huffmaster and Ashton Huffmaster of Quitman, Georgia; great grandfather, Homer Butler of Lake Park, Georgia; great grandmother, Dortha Troupe of Hahira, Georgia; grandparents: Bart and Deborah Butler of Valdosta, Georgia, Steve and Nancy Shiver of Valdosta, Georgia, Pam Rowan Wise of Lake Park, Georgia, Russell V. Nelson, Sr. of Hahira, Georgia, JD and Sara Dykes of Hahira, Georgia; great aunt, Alacia “Nanny” Black of Lake Park, Georgia; aunts and uncles: David (Stephanie) Nelson, Russell V. Nelson, Jr., Brett (Andrea) Butler, Denton Butler; Jerad (Trixie) Bennett; Justin (Brittany) Poore; Kraig (Amber) Whitmer, Perry (Cindy) Lagrange; Brandon’s girlfriend, Brooklyn Winstead of Jesup, Georgia and her 3 children: Nolan, Klaus and Gia Grubb; numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Park, Georgia with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Valdosta, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the church.
