Brenda Carol Pavey, 75, of Alapaha, Georgia passed away at home on February 24, 2024. She was born on January 28, 1949 in Logan County, West Virginia to the late James Drautz and Robbie Annie (Fraizer) Drautz. To her family and friends, she will be remembered for being a sweet and precious soul. As I remember my mother, Brenda and all her special ways that made her stand out from all others, is that she was a simple woman that loved all of God's gifts. The most special gifts she adored were her family and friends. She took every opportunity to share stories of her children and grandchildren. She loved the countryside of life and being outside gardening, as she and my grandmother called it playing in the dirt. She also enjoyed cooking a special meal or a simple lunch on the patio. Mom loved life, but most of all she loved right where she was. She said living in the country with her best friend was the happiest she had ever been.
Brenda never asked for anything but always wanted to give all she could to others. She accepted life as it was, be it the good or the bad. Even when her health declined, she always expected the best and gave it her all. She never gave up hope and she endured the journey, fought the battle, and gained the victory when she looked upon His face; the one who saved her by His grace!
Brenda is preceded in death by her father James Drautz and brother Johnny Drautz.
She is survived by her best friend/companion, George Courson; mother, Robbie Annie Drautz; siblings, Jimmy Ann Fields, Janice Proffitt, and Mark Drautz; children: Laura Bennett (Curtis), Rima Arellano, and Landis Pavey; grandchildren: Victoria Harris (Patrick), Caleb Bennett, Korynne, Jax, Shiloh and Alexander Luca; two great grandchildren: Viviyn and Vera and many nieces & nephews.
