Brittany Benavides

Brittany Benavides, age 37, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1988, in Houston, TX to loving parents, Gary and Becky Benavides. 

She had a generous spirit and found great joy in helping others. Family was at the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed cooking and loved trying new recipes inspired by the cooking shows she watched. She also loved shopping, especially at Bath & Body Works, where she often found some of her favorite things. Traveling brought her happiness, and one of her favorite destinations was the beautiful beach in St. Augustine, where she enjoyed making lasting memories. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Becky; uncles, Kenny Benavides and Placido Benavides Jr. and aunt, Brenda Benavides.

Brittany is survived by her father, Gary Benavides of Valdosta, GA; sister, Tiffany Benavides of Valdosta, GA; companion, James Forrest of Valdosta, GA; aunt, Velda Shuman of Naylor, GA; uncles, Joe Benavides (Judy) and Ben Benavides; her beloved fur baby, Sugar; numerous cousins and extended family members.
