Of Ray City, GA passed away Tuesday morning, December 10, 2013 in the Berrien County Nursing Home. He was born in Berrien County, GA on February 16, 1935 to the late Brooker Sr. & Ruby Giddens Fountain. He was a member of the Ray City United Methodist Church in Ray City, GA and the Elks Lodge in Valdosta. He retired as an automobile salesman after 53 years. He served as a deputy sheriff with the Berrien County Sherriff's Department several years ago, he loved bluegrass music and was an avid old western movie fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Brown.

Fountain "Bear", Lake Park, GA, Richard Truitt, Denver, Co; Step Daughter, Renee & Charles Austin, Fairhope, AL; Step Son, Kyle & Gidget Sweat, Atlanta, GA, Step Son, Jerry Gill, Macon, GA; Granddaughters: Megan Patterson, Hannah Patterson, Alyson Austin; Grandson: Kyler Truitt; Sisters, Dorothy Selman, St. Marys, GA, Sandra Fountain, Decatur, GA, Dolly Anderson, St. Marys, GA, Fonda Fountain, St. Augustine, FL and a Brother, Alan Fountain Donna, Ray City, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2013 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with interment to follow in Burnt Church Cemetery in Lakeland. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
