Burton Allen

Of Lakeland, passed away Wednesday morning, November 19, 2008 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1927 in Naylor, Georgia to the late Marcus and Mamie Moore Allen. He worked as a lineman for National Container. He later went to work for the City of Lakeland and the County of Lanier as the Animal Control Officer. For many years he loved and cared for animals at his home. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2008 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, November 21, 2008 from 6-8 p.m.
