Cameron “Dale” Turner, Sr. -59
Of Hahira, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on September 25, 1964, in Hahira, Georgia to the late Felton Eugene Turner, Sr. and Martha Dean Turner. He was a man of many passions, finding joy in fishing, hunting, running dogs, and all things related to horses. His dedication to his community extended to his role as president of the bench at the North Lowndes Hardware Store, where his leadership and commitment were deeply valued. Dale's warm spirit, generous heart, and commitment to his family and community will be profoundly missed. He was a member of Moody Masonic Lodge and St. Johns the Baptist Lodge. He served as the District Deputy and Master of Moody Lodge for many years. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Holly Turner, of Hahira, Georgia. Dale also leaves behind his devoted mother, Martha “Dean” Turner, of Hahira Georgia; sons: Cameron Turner of Nashville, Georgia, Cody Turner of Hahira, Georgia; brothers: Gene Turner (Trina) of Hahira, and Rusty Turner (Ruth) of Hockley, Texas; sister, Amy Tomlinson (Brian), of Hahira, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family, including his cherished bonus children, Jennie Harris and Joannie Rogers, both of Adel, Georgia, and their families.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta with Rev. Dub Music officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the funeral home.
