Dr. Cara Jo Sikes O’Brien, 75, went to her next adventure in the cosmos on November 4, 2019. Cara was a free spirit, gypsy, biker babe, animal lover, adventurer, educator, and lover of beauty, music, and life.
As a university professor of nursing, Cara taught in Greece, Hawaii, Nevada, Florida, California, and Georgia. She was loved, admired, and respected by many and will be greatly missed by her loving family and dear friends.
Cara is survived by her daughter Shannon Scott (Brock) of San Diego, California; two grandchildren Blaize and Riley Jo Scott of San Diego, California; siblings Bill Sikes (Wanda) of Leon, West Virginia, Peggy Chitty (Ray) of Valdosta, GA, and Lulu Ford of New Orleans, Louisiana; and extended family.
