Of Lake Park, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. She was born on August 17, 1967 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Gordon A. and Rose (Whaley) Brown. She achieved her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Maryland and she was the CEO of Companions 2 U LLC. Mrs. Hawley was very active in the Theater Guild- Valdosta, where she landed the leading role in the production of “Gypsy”. She also was active with Amanda’s Modeling and Talent here in Valdosta where she appeared in a couple of other movies as an extra. She enjoyed singing, traveling and always helping others.
She is survived by her Husband of 25 years, Charles Hawley of Lake Park, Georgia, Son Jayden Hawley of Lake Park, Georgia, Mother, Rose Brown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sister, Leza Brown of Douglasville, Georgia, Nieces, Brianna Reid of New York and Sierra Brown of Douglasville, Georgia, Brother-in-Law, Anthony McCannon (Anne) of Virginia, Sister-in-law, Tina Brown (Dennis) of Maryland, Special Sister, Nina Lane of Maryland, Special Brother, Corey Watkins of Maryland, Special Sister, Tanya Herring of Pennsylvania, Sister, Toni Brown of California, a host of family and friends, Mother-in-Laws, Edith Thomas and Audrey Randall-Hawley of Maryland, Father-in-Laws, Charles Hawley, Sr. and Wilson Thomas of Maryland, God Mother, Dianna Matthews of Pennsylvania, God Father, Reverend Ernell Steed, Jr. of New Jersey, and Father, Gordon Brown of Pennsylvania.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with live-streaming available on Facebook. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family has requested that masks be worn at both the visitation and services along with social distancing at all times.
