Of Valdosta, GA formerly of Albany passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Valdosta on July 4, 1961 to James Carlton & Betty Ann Copeland Brooks, Sr. of Valdosta. He was very active in the Jaycees serving as the State President and as the president of the Albany chapter. He was the owner and operator of Dixie Registers in Albany for many years.
Along with his parents he is survived by: 2 Sons & Daughter-in-law, James Carlton "Jamie" Brooks III, Macon, GA, Michael & Paige Brooks , Albany, GA; Brother, Gary Brooks, Lake Park, GA; Niece, Lauren Brooks, Lake Park, GA
As per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2012 in the Valdosta chapel of Music Funeral Services.
