Carlton Eugene Roberts

Carlton Eugene Roberts, 73 of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. He was born on December 3, 1951, in Adel, Georgia, to the late Melba Bennett Roberts.

Carlton proudly served his country in the United States Army for 17 years. After his military service, he worked as an electrician, a trade in which he was highly skilled and respected. He was known for his sense of humor, his easygoing nature, and his love of family. In his spare time, Carlton enjoyed fishing.

Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Marie Alread Roberts.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jessie Roberts (Ashley) of Lakeland, Georgia; grandchildren: Jessie “J.J.” Roberts, Jr. and Carter Roberts; brothers: Earl Roberts of Texas, Wilbur Roberts of Alabama and Verlan Roberts of Adel, Georgia.
