Carolyn R. Davis – 84
Of Lake Park, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Berrien Nursing Center in Nashville, Georgia. She was born on October 25, 1940 in Metter, Georgia to the late Jacob Thomas Reardon and Ruth Carroll Reardon. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love for all knew no bounds. Known for her grace and unwavering faith, she radiated a quiet strength that touched everyone around her. With a wonderful sense of humor and a unique gift for words, she could bring comfort, laughter, or wisdom to any moment.
Her hands were never still—always creating, always giving. She crocheted many blankets through the years and made cherished Raggedy Ann dolls for each of her grandchildren. She was a constant presence in the lives of her children, always making sure they arrived safely at their destinations, no matter how near or far.
She served as a dedicated paraprofessional at Lake Park Elementary School, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children. She loved them deeply, just as she did her own, and her kindness and patience left a mark that will never be forgotten. She was a member and past president of the Lake Park Lioness Club.
She never missed an event—school plays, games, graduations—anything involving her children or grandchildren. Only when her health began to decline did she step back, and even then, her heart remained fully present.
Her home was a place of warmth and welcome. When her grandchildren visited, she would lovingly make pallets in the living room for them to sleep on—turning ordinary nights into lifelong memories.
She was the most giving and caring person one could ever hope to meet. Always thinking of others, she made sure everyone around her was taken care of and had what they needed—whether it was a meal, a hug, or a kind word.
Her grandchildren will forever hold dear the memories, life lessons, and immeasurable love she gave them. Her legacy lives on in the warmth of her family and the values she instilled in each of them.
Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life—guiding her actions, comforting her in difficult times, and shaping the way she loved others. It was evident in everything she did, and her unwavering devotion and steadfast prayer for others served as a powerful example to all who knew her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Jimmy Davis, Sr.; brother, Tommy Reardon; sister-in-law, JoAnn Reardon; brother-in-law, Jack Davis; son-in-law, Stephen Cain.
