Carolyn Ann Murray Giddens – 84
Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at SCMC Lakeland Villa after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 9, 1935 in Valdosta, GA to the late Dana Murray and Carrie (Conner) Murray. She worked as the book keeper for Murray Chevrolet which later became Giddens Chevrolet. She was a faithful member of the Lakeland United Methodist Church where she was the choir director for over 30 years. She humbly dedicated her life to the love of music, the love for her family all for the Glory of God.
Survivors include: Husband of 66 years, Billy Giddens of Lakeland, GA; Son, Dana Giddens of Lakeland, GA; Son, Gene and Mary Jane Giddens of Myrtle Beach, SC; Daughter, Lynne and Wayne Mixon of Swansboro, NC; Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and a Great-Great Grandchild who affectionately called her “Mama C, Ma C and Meemie”.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2019 in the Lakeland United Methodist Church. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com . In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Lakeland United Methodist Church.
