Mrs. Catherine W. Baucom – 93
Of Woodstock, GA passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at her home after a short illness. She was born on October 18, 1922 in Hazlehurst, GA to the parents of A.S. & Erie Wimberly Ragan. She lived in Valdosta most of her life. She was an ensign in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, she returned to Valdosta and retired from Southern Bell Telephone. She was a member of Lake Park Church of God.
Survivors include her Son & Daughter-in-Law, Larry & Sherry Coleman of Woodstock, GA;
Stepchildren, Charlotte Peace, Robert Baucom, Rick Baucom, Lucy Baucom, Julie Okyay;
Grandchildren, Tad ColemanCarrie, Carrie KuhlmanBill, Sally LewisRon, Ryan Coleman, Tom WagarLaura; 9 Great Grandchildren; Nieces, Carole Ausum & Susan Butenschon;
Nephew, Walter Stembridge, and several extended family members.
Funeral services will be held 1:00PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with a private burial in Copeland Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.
