Catherine Dukes, born in Brooklyn, New York on March 18, 1932, died at home September 9th,
2019 after a short illness at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Walter Dukes, Sr. She was a proud member of the United States Air Force, serving as a
nurse, and continuing as a nurse in her civilian life. She traveled the world, enjoying everything one
could in their time on Earth. Her greatest love, however, was her children, along with their spouses Charles (Dara wife), Daniel, Bill (Jennie wife), Cathy, Michelle, Robert (Rose wife), Irene (George husband), Joe (Paige wife) along with several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
As per her wishes, she will be cremated and buried at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, Ga. The exceptional staff of Hospice made her final days more comfortable.
