Celia Faye Copeland Wisenbaker – 90
affectionately known as "Aunt Faye", of Dasher passed away Friday afternoon, August 2, 2013 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 22, 1923 in Valdosta to the Richard O. & LaRue Henry Copeland. Ms. Wisenbaker retired from the Department of Agriculture as a clerk. She also worked with Roy Pearce's Tobacco Warehouses during the summer months. Being a long time member of the Airport Church of Christ she served in many different roles of the church. She was a Sunday school teacher, avid member of WOFSY at the Georgia Christian School. She was also the President of the Home Demonstration Club and loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; C.I. "Hood" Wisenbaker, Jr. and sister & brother-in-law; Margaret & Doug Harris, sister-in-law & brother-in-law; Marion and Jack Williams, father-in-law & mother-in-law; C.I. & Wilma Wisenbaker.
Survivors Include: Daughter &Son-in-law, Lisa & Steve Starling, Dasher, GA; Grandchildren: Ivey & Taye Griffin, Dasher, GA, Alison Hansley & Fiance, Heath Eason, Jacksonville, FL, Kohle Mcleod, Dasher, GA, Derrik Mcleod, Dasher, GA; Great Grandchildren: Kasey Brown, Karson Brown, Kameron Mcleod, Andy Griffin, Jacob Griffin; Twin Sister & Brother-in-law, Maye & Kenneth Parkinson, Union City, GA, numerous Nieces & Nephews and other extended family members; Special caregiver & friend, Carolyn Croft and Special thanks to Hospice of South Georgia, especially Tracy, Keisha and Nancy.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Monday, August 5, 2013 in the Airport Church of Christ with burial to follow in Dasher Cemetery. Ms. Wisenbaker will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. in the McMullen Lakes Chapel & Clubhouse, 6125 Old Lake Park Rd., Lake Park, GA. Sympathy may be expressed online at
