C.H. "Fletch" Fletcher – 90
Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Walthourville, GA to the late Edward & Mamie Howard Fletcher on April 11, 1926. He was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church. He has been involved with radio electronics since 1945. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Following his return he began his career as a radio broadcaster where he served numerous radio and television stations throughout South Georgia. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Edwina McLamb, Adeene Deal and Frances Smiley.
Survivors Include: Wife of 67 years, Kay Fletcher, Valdosta; 2 Daughters & Son-in-law: Debbie & Pete Leisey, Valdosta, Susan & Mark Bradford, Lakeland; Son & Daughter-in-law: Eddie & Teresa Fletcher, Leesburg, GA; 5 grandchildren: Stacey Reynolds Chancey, Katie Hill Corey, Kim Fletcher Chris Calway, Deanna Hart Patrick and Jordan Bradford Tiffany; 5 great grandchildren: Cason, Tatum, Gavin, Copper & Kable and a number of nieces and nephews.
A private graveside will be held in Riverview Memorial Gardens. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu flowers please make donations to the American Lung Association or a charity of your choice. Sympathy may be expressed online at
