Of Blakely Georgia passed away January 14, 2008 at his residence after a lengthily illness. He was born on December 11, 1930 to the late Charles Edward Cloney and Elizabeth Keenan Cloney in Baltimore, Maryland. After serving 22 years he retired from United States Air Force. Later he worked 5 years with Civil Service. He enjoyed spending time on his computer, listening to music, taking pictures of family, and working on electronics. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Valdosta and after moving to Blakely joined the Holy Trinity Church.
Survivors Include: Wife: Carolyn Elaine Cloney, Blakely, GA; 2 Daughter: Lori Griffin, Valdosta, GA, Kim Cloney, Detroit, MI; 1 Son: Charles “Eddie” Cloney III, Valdosta, GA; 2 Step Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Donnie Strickland, Blakely, GA, Chad & Holly Strickland, Blakely, GA; Step Daughter & Son-in-Law: Tammy & Craig Storey, Blakely, GA; 10 Grandchildren, a number of Great Grand Children and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January, 17, 2008 at Christ Episcopal Church with Father Peter Ingeman officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens where full military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends this evening, Wednesday, January 16, 2008, from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
