Of Lakeland, passed away early Friday afternoon, December 03, 2010 in the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born to Charles P. and Clara Dixon Ganas, Sr. on August 13, 1963 in the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital in Lakeland, Georgia. Upon graduation from Lanier County High School he went to work with his family in the family business at Ganas Hardware. He loved the game of golf, organizing the annual Lakeland Golf Group Tournament, playing as often as possible. He was an avid supporter of the Lanier County Bulldog Athletics Program. His love for the game of baseball, allowed him to coach little league ball for many years. He was an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland, Georgia. He is preceded in death by a wife, Ann Hollis Ganas; Grandparents, Buck & Lillie Ganas, and Homer Dixon; Mother-In-Law & Father-In-Law, Cecile Ann Steedley & William Steedley; A Special Aunt, Evelyn Ganas Register.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 in the Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland, Georgia with burial in Good Hope Cemetery near Naylor, Georgia. He will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Lakeland Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 5:00 8:00 p.m.
