Charles Harold Bennett – 73
Of Stockton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital in Lake City, Florida. He was born on March 30, 1950, in Savannah, Georgia to the late Horace Cauley Bennett and Elsie Ann (Kelly) Bennett. Charles had a big heart for serving the community by delivering them food and helping with anything else they may have needed. He worked as a farmer all his life. He enjoyed cooking, raising livestock, planting flowers and fruit trees. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: James Carlton Bennett and Roger Dale Bennett; nephew, Jason Bennett.
Survivors include: Wife, Margaret Bennett of Stockton, Georgia; Daughter, Lisa Michelle Johnson (Eddie) of Lakeland, Georgia; Lisa’s mother Janice Harnage of Lakeland, Georgia; Brother, Horace Bennett (Gail) of Stockton, Georgia; Sister, Debra Inman of Lakeland, Georgia; Sister, Betty Lankford (Lamar) of Homerville, Georgia; Grandchildren: Matthew Parker (Brandy) and Dillon Parker; Great Grandchildren: Wyatt Parker, Charles Parker, Memphis Parker, Jaxon Parker, Noah Parker, Cammy Parker and Beau Parker; Special friends: Beth Miller, Lloyd Shaw; Nephews: Chris Bennett, Jamie Inman, Roy Langford; one niece, Kellie Inman.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in the Lakeland chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Love Joy Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the funeral home.
