Charles Abraham Newbern – 76 of Valdosta, GA passed away on Wednesday January 27, 2021 in the Satilla Hospice House of Waycross, GA. He was born on November 8, 1944 in Homerville, GA to the late Keron (Smith) and Julian Sullivan Newbern. Charles worked as a truck driver for Joseph Land for many years. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Theo Newbern, George Newbern, Oscar Newbern, and Reavis Newbern; sister, Lillian Wilson; Aunt, Catherine Malone.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law: Deena Newbern of Waycross, GA, Alicia and Hal Foreman of Blackshear, GA; Sons and daughters-in-law: Charles Sullivan and Mary Newbern of Valdosta, GA, Timothy Earl and Trish Newbern of Nashville, GA, James Abraham and Dana Newbern of Valdosta, GA, Sisters and brothers-in-law: Myrtle Williams of Barney, GA, Ruth Williams of Valdosta, GA, Vonnell and Larry Tomlinson of Lenior City, TN; A number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Pine Forrest Cemetery in Homerville, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
