of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at South Georgia Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Mr. Paul was born on January 23, 1946, in Quitman, Georgia to the late Ethridge James Bennett Sr. and Susan Eula Bennett. Paul worked as a pressman for the Valdosta Daily Times for 47 years. He was known to be a hardworking man who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid gardener who loved growing various vegetable crops in which he blessed his family and friends with.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy D. Bennett of Valdosta, Georgia; Son & Companion, Charles Gordon Bennett (Lorelei) of Lakeland, Georgia; Son & Daughter in law, Jason Allen Bennett (Amanda) of Lakeland, Georgia; Son & Daughter in law, Reuben Wade Bennett (Amber) of Ogden, Utah; Daughter & Son in law, Jodi Elizabeth Stagner (Paul) of Valdosta, Georgia; 13 Grandchildren: Lauren, Nathan, Jack, Blake, Nicole, Jacob, Brooks, Brandon, Taylor, Anna, Paul, Nic, and Shane; 3 Great Grandchildren: Cole, Maddie and Mason; 2 Sisters and Brother in laws; Geneva Martin (Hubert) of Eatonton, Georgia & Sylvia Sellars (Dewayne) of Conyers, Georgia. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a Great Granddaughter Everley Stagner, 3 Brothers, Dell Bennett, EJ Bennett, Jr. & Coy Bennett.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Music Funeral Services, Chapel Lakeland, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
