Charles William Peace, 43, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia, on March 19, 1981 to Charles and Louise Peace.
Charlie graduated from Lowndes High School in 1999 and went on to pursue higher education at Thomas University, Valdosta State University, and Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, where he studied Clinical Laboratory Science. His career was a testament to his dedication and passion for healthcare, serving as Laboratory Manager at South Georgia Medical Center. Previously, he held roles including Pre-Analytical Client Services Manager at SGMC Health, Medical Technician, and Sales Associate at Belk.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Charlie had a deep love for life outside of work. He was an avid cook, often delighting family and friends with his culinary skills. He was also a devoted dog lover, cherishing his two beloved pets, Pandi and Peanut. Above all, Charlie found great joy in attending and supporting his children’s various activities, an aspect of his life that brought him immense pride and fulfillment.
Charlie will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his infant son, Ethan Peace, paternal grandparents Carroll (A.C.) and Margaret Peace, and his maternal grandparents, William and Gwendolyn Brickell.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Walker Peace of Hahira, Georgia; children, Autumn Lily, and Harding Walker Peace; his parents, Charles and Louise Peace of Valdosta, Georgia; his sisters, Carrie (Chad) Bowling of Dasher, Georgia, Emily (Wesley) Heruska of Hahira, Georgia and Amy Swails of Hahira, Georgia; mother and father-in-law, Diane and John Walker of Valdosta, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Libby and Sloan Craft of Hahira, Georgia; Nieces and nephews are Mac and Lawson Bowling, Nicholas, Drew, Abby and Sydney Heruska, Cameron and Macy Swails and Kayne Craft.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2024 in the sanctuary of First Christian Church, Valdosta, Georgia. The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
