He was born in Berrien County, GA and had lived in Lakeland most of his life. He was employed at Bolling Grocery and Bolling Logging for about 25 years. He went to work with the TV Cable Company in Lakeland until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Lakeland.
