Of Valdosta passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 20, 1955 to the late Lawrence and Dollie Jenwright Gallop in Painesville, Ohio. Mrs. Shadix worked with Lakehaven Nursing Center as the Director of Nursing. She was an ordained minister having served as the Associate Pastor for the Evangel Assembly of God and was a member of the Faith Assembly of God. Her brother, Earl G. Gallop precedes her in death.
Survivors Include: Husband, Don Shadix; 2 Sons, Daniel T. Boatwright, David E. Boatwright, all of Valdosta; Step Daughter & Son-in-law, Andrea & Dave Carroll, Whiteman AFB, MO; Step Son, Donnie Shadix, Valdosta; Brothers& Sister-in-law, Steven & Guadalupe Gallop, Phoenix, AR, Larry Gallop, Portland, OR; Sister-in-law, Carmen Gallop, Coral Gables, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Monday, September 3, 2007 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Gerry Russo officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening, September 2, 2007 at the funeral home. As per Mrs. Shadixs wishes she will be cremated following services.
