Christopher "Chris" Hopper – 69
Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on April 13, 1946 in Miami, FL to the late Arthur & Francis Sutton Hopper. Mr. Hopper served 22 ½ in the United States Air Force. He worked in the security forces. He loved anything to do with law enforcement so after retiring from the military he worked with the Lowndes County Drug Task Force until ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church.
Survivors Include: wife of 32 years, Mary Hopper, Valdosta, GA; Daughter, Jennifer Hopper, Cincinnati, OH; Sister & Brother-in-law, Barbara & Steven Murray, Shelbyville, KY and a number of nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes he will cremated and no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or to help in the research/cure of Crohn's Disease or Myasthenia Gravis. Music Funeral Services/Azalea Crematory of Valdosta is serving the Hopper family.
