Christina “Tina” Mae Gurka - 59
Of Lakeland, GA passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in St. Louis, MO on March 2, 1960, to the late Paul Lee Burnett and Gladys “Micki” Ann (Roche) Roach. She retired from Louis Smith Memorial Hospital, where she worked as an LPN, for Dr. James Everett. She enjoyed spending time with family, crafting, shopping and sewing. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Lynn Branson, and brother, Robert Hawthorne.
Survivors include: Husband, Robert “Bob” Gurka of Lakeland, GA; Daughters and Son-in-laws, Kelli Marie Dodd (William “Josh”) of Naples, FL, Courtney Isaac Wisenbaker (Adam) of Lake Park, GA; Maternal Siblings, Sandra Gillar (Frank) of Riverview, FL, Shari Winters (Peter) of Ocala, FL, Patrick Hawthorne (Chrystal) of Hendersonville, TN, Donald Hawthorne of St. Petersburg, FL, William Mims (Janine) of Okeechobee, FL, Michael Hawthorne of Williston, FL, James Hawthorne (Peggy) of Tampa, FL; Paternal Sibling, Cherie Burnett Pegg of Ruma, IL; Grandchildren: Austin Langford, Caden Dodd, Aubrey Wisenbaker, Aspen Dodd and Jaxson Wisenbaker; Great Grandchildren: Amdyn Langford and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11:00A.M. in the Lakeland chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow at Greenlawn cemetery in Lakeland, GA.
