Of Lakeland passed away Friday, February 9, 2007 in the Lakeland Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness. She was born January 26, 1920 in Berrien County to the late George and Sally Lee. Ms. Christine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakeland and worked as the Custodian for the Lanier County Courthouse for many years. She enjoyed meeting people and always greeted anyone in the courthouse with a smile. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Terry DuBose and Rubin Davis, 2 sons, James V. DuBose & Gene E. DuBose, 2 Brothers, Paul Lee & Curtis Lee, 1 Sister, Naomi Calhoun and a Brother-in-law, J.L. Gaskins, Jr.
Survivors Include:Granddaughters Randi & Lloyd, Beesing, Jacksonville, FL, Selena & Jim Hodges, Houston, TX, 2 Great Grandchildren, Chelsea & Cory Beesing, Jacksonville, FL, Daughter-in-law & Son-in-law, Patricia & Charles Hodges, Valdosta, GA, 2 Sisters & Brother-in-law, LaVann Gaskins, Lakeland, GA, Nell & Otis Hurst, Steinhatchee, FL, Special Friend, Betty Gail Mims, Lakeland, GA, A number of nieces and nephews
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 11, 2007 in the First Baptist Church of Lakeland with the Reverend John Bracken officiating. Burial followed in the Empire Cemetery in Lanier County.
