Clara (Spriggs) Pearson
Passed away on February 18, 2020 in Valdosta, Georgia at the age of 99. She was born on November 26, 1920 in Buford, Georgia. She was the third child born to the late George and Nancy (Cooper) Spriggs. Mrs. Clara was Baptist by faith. She was an exceptional mother, having raised four children, and a devoted wife to her late husband, Roy Pearson. Clara also went her entire life without driving a car! Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Mattie Lee Tomlinson and Ernest Spriggs.
Survivors include: Son, Ernest Pearson of Naylor, GA; Daughter, Shirley Sutton of Valdosta, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Damon Pearson and wife, Connie of Lakeland, FL, Son, Howard Pearson of Lakeland, GA; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Brother and Sisters, Bobby Spriggs, Glender Spriggs and Charlotte Spriggs all of Rome, GA; Numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
