Clara Wiggins Register

Of Lakeland, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 11, 2010 at her home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 5, 1953 to the late Charlie & Faye Wiggins also of Lakeland. Clara graduated from Lanier County High and Valdosta Technical College. For the past 15 years she has served as the office manager for Automated Medical Systems, as well as being the secretary for her beloved church, Cornerstone Church in Pearson, Georgia. Clara's greatest joys came from spending time with her family and friends, reading her bible and praising her savior.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Faye Fender Wiggins; her older brother Charlie Edward Wiggins III; and her oldest son, Dewayne Gordon Register, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in North Cemetery, Clinch County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cornerstone Church, Highway 82 East, Pearson, GA 31624 in memory of Clara Register.
