Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on March 23, 1926 in Kissimmee, FL to the late Claude M. and Recey Fowler Parrish. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Valdosta State University. Mr. Parrish enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his grandchildren and riding his golf cart. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.
Survivors Include: Wife, Anna Parrish, Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Stacie Parrish, Valdosta, GA; 2 Grandchildren: Hunter Parrish and Morgan Parrish; Sister, Mildred Mowrey, Winchester, VA; Sisters-in-law, Muriel Downs, Valdosta, GA , Hilda Lipscomb, Valdosta, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Gateway Baptist Church with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr Parrish will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday evening, September 25, 2010.
