Clifford Edgar Stanford

Clifford Edgar Stanford went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2012. Born in Wooster Ohio on February 4, 1927 to Clifford E. Stanford, Sr. and Margra Sigler Stanford; he was one of five children. In 1949 he married Lela Hendrix and in January they celebrated 63 years together. Retiring after 32 years at Rubbermaid; they made a new home in Eustis, FL, later moving to Valdosta, GA. Clifford was a US Army veteran and a lifelong member of the Wooster American Legion, Moose and the Eagle club. His love of people will be his legacy.
He is survived by his wife Lela, daughter, Shirley Mike Dwyre of Florida, a son, Harold "Bud" Jeanne Stanford of GA and 3 Grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and his beloved constant companion, his dog, Tinkerbelle.
As per his wishes, Mr. Stanford will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your SPCA in his name.
