Clyde Bennett – 71
Of Stockton, GA passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 18, 1949 in Valdosta, GA to the late William Daniel Bennett and Myrtle Ruth (Guess) Bennett. He was also preceded in death by his brother Charles D. Bennett. Mr. Clyde worked as a farmer for many years. He loved the outdoors and deer hunting was his passion, but the love he had for his family was greater still. He was a hero among family and friends. He understood the need for salvation and was saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Survivors include: Wife, of 44 years Patsy Stith Bennett of Stockton, GA; Son, Chris Bennett and wife Helana of Stockton, GA; Son, Brandon Bennett of Albany, GA; Grandchildren: Blake Bennett, Brayden Bennett, Hunter Griggs, Decklan Griggs, and Tristen Griggs; Sister, Peggy Langdale and husband Bob of Lakeland, GA; Sister, Pam Fender and husband Dennis of Stockton, GA; Sister, Terri Cook and husband Wayne of Nashville, GA; Fur babies, Cricket, Otter and Ike; a number of nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lovejoy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the funeral home in Lakeland.
