Clyde Brogdon - 84
Of Lakeland passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born June 12, 1930 in Lanier County to the late Gordon Isaac and Patricia Clements Brogdon. Mr. Brogdon served as a game warden for 24 years. After retiring, he continued his service to his community and was elected sheriff in 1989. He served for 16 years. Along with his service to his community he worked on the family farm all of his life. The farm is still in operation today. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Ann Brogdon, Daughter-in-Law, Melodie S. Brogdon, Great Grandson, Ricky Fernandez, Step Mother, Mary Jane Brogdon, and a Sister Betty Jo Bridges

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Lakeland with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. Mr. Brogdon will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to services. The family will receive friends this evening Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
