Of Stockton, GA passed away early Tuesday morning, March 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born on August 20, 1956 to Leonard and Betty Woods Powell in Tunnel Hill, GA. She was an inventory specialist at Spring Industries and a member of Love Joy Community Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stevie Powell.
Her survivors include, Husband of 22 years, Rony Scruggs of Stockton, GA; Sister & Brother-in-Law, Karen & Oscar Franks of Tunnel Hill, GA; Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law, Johny & Malinda Scruggs of Stockton, GA; Special Nephew, Sammy Scruggs of Stockton, GA; Nephews, Brian Horn, Timmy Horn, Tony Horn; and Niece, April Horn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, March 7, 2014 at Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Ringold, GA with burial to follow in Gordy Memorial Gardens in Tunnel Hill, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Music Funeral Services in Lakeland, GA. For friends in Ringold, she will be placed in the church on Friday at 10:00am for visitation. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
