Curtis Bossman Mize 64
Of Quitman passed away Friday, August 18, 2006 in South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on September 9, 1941 in Toccoa, GA. to Lois Mize and the late Rev. Omer Mize. He attended Stephens County Schools. Mr. Mize owned and operated Mize Construction for 23 years. Racing Cars was a favorite hobby. He operated Macon Raceway in Byron, Ga in the late 70s and remained in the sport by owning several cars. His brothers, Marion Mize and Terry Mize preceded him in death.
Survivors include: Wife of 27 years, Glenda Mize, Quitman, Daughter & Son-in-law, Cindy and Gary Careaga, Valdosta, 4 Sons & Daughters-in-law; Chris and Sonia Mize, Blythe, GA, David and Jennifer Mize, Blythe, GA, Benny Griffin, Morven, GA, Ed and Angie Griffin, Waycross, 10 Grandchildren: CJ, Keica, Joey, Jake, Tyler, Brandi, Andy, Haley, Colin, and Preston, Sister& Brother-in-law, Carol and Bobby Craven, Toccoa, GA, Best Friend, Jimmy Carter, Valdosta, several nieces and nephews and his Fury Friend, Pee Wee the Pomeranian.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 21, 2006 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
