Daniel “Dan” Webster Young, Jr. – 78
Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his home. He was born on May 21, 1943 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Adlelee Allen and Daniel Webster Youngs, Sr. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was an electrician having worked with Valdosta Electric from which he retired. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gail Young.
Survivors include: Sons and Daughter-in-law, Michael Young of Valdosta, Georgia, Rickey Young, Sr. (Shirley) of Valdosta, Georgia; Grandchildren: Brittany Wisenbaker (Rex), Rickey Young, Jr (Naomi), Bridget Young (Caleb Waters), Hayden Young; Great Grandchildren: Molly-Grace Young, Emma-Kate Wisenbaker, Ren Wisenbaker; Sister, Candace Crosby of Valdosta, Georgia; brother, Bill Young (Ann) of Valdosta, Georgia; sister Judy Tucker of Quitman, Georgia and Joyce Griner of Quitman, Georgia and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Wayfare Cemetery, Statenville, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the funeral home. .
